Call it the new trend in politics or the need of the hour to grab the power but then the road shows have been happening in great numbers for the masses and this has become a ritual of sort for all the political parties to come up with their own set of road shows and put an umbrella to it with a title for the entire event.
However, what has been concerning the political experts is how effective are these road shows? There is one section which strongly believes that road shows benefit a lot since they show the people power to the oppositions and create a psychological edge.
Also, it is a self assessment method to see what the public pulse is towards a political party. On the other hand, there are those who have been discouraging all this since the truth they say is that most of them are paid to come to the venue and also a fair amount of percentage comes only to see what is happening at all party road shows, they are more of the neutral voters whose mind cannot be read till the last second.
As it is, the flip side of the road shows if arrangements are not made has been seen with human losses and stampedes. The more practical explanation is, it is a huge waste of money, pollutant creator, expense of manpower, resources and unwanted pomp.
The wise men say that no matter what the hype and projections these road shows make, at the end of the day, it all boils down to each and every single individual voter who has made up his/her mind for a particular party based on their own personal experiences.
