The resignation of former IPS officer P Anjaneya Reddy, an important leader in the Praja Rajyam Party, is a big setback to Chiranjeevi.

Though he might not have a direct influence on voters, the news that a senior leader has quit the PRP would send a wrong signal among the party cadres.

If rumours are to be believed, even former Union Minsiter and former Governor P Sivasankar is also likely to quit the party. Though he headed the manifesto committee and created the party’s philosophy, there is absolutely no recognition to him in the party. He was neither given any ticket nor any position in the party. He does not have any work and when he comes to the party office, there is none to recognise him or respect him.

Even Chiranjeevi does not answer Sivasankar’s calls. As a result, Sivasankar is learnt to have decided to stay away from the party activities, if not quitting the party immediately.

He is known as young tiger and it appears that Chandrababu Naidu and the rest of the TDP folks have realized now his strength. The TDP which has been moving at a slow pace during the election canvassing got a rocket boost with the arrival of Jr NTR and the political graphs changed completely.

However, the terrible and unfortunate accident has shattered all smiles on CBN. Many leaders in the TDP circles are heard saying that the power of jr NTR is now being known and the heat is missing in a great way.
